a delaware-based education initiative for youth and adults (taught by people who do the work, not people who just read about it). come learn to fix a car, build a thing, cut hair, sew a garment, use a.i. on purpose, or move your body like it's yours.
the mission
most classrooms skip the stuff you actually use.
W.E.I.R.D. learning is a delaware-based hands-on education initiative for kids, teens, and grown folks (yes, grown folks — it is never too late). we teach the hands-on things — automotive, carpentry, barbering, sewing, a.i., movement, junior handyman work, and the everyday life skills that make you feel capable in your own life.
everybody who walks in here is already dope (that's the name). we just give you the tools, the space, and the teacher who actually wants you to learn.
what it actually looks like
hands on a real engine. a teen teaching another teen.
this is the thing (no stock photos, no pretending). a kid pulls the dipstick, reads the oil, explains what he sees. the kid next to him is watching because next week it's his turn.

in the community
we go where the kids already are.
block parties, street festivals, cultural days. we set up, hand a kid a level and a tape measure, and by the end of the afternoon they've built a whole house out of pool noodles. (and remembered the word "stud" for the rest of their life.)

because nobody else was going to.
W.E.I.R.D. learning was built in delaware to give kids and grown folks the hands-on education most classrooms skip — no gatekeeping, no pretending, just real teachers and real work.
